Walking and exercise can and should begin slowly and build up from there. Don't over extend
yourself or you'll hurt yourself and have to start over. If you have a dog, walking everyday
will help you and your dog plus it's more fun. Also, walk with purpose. When walking to lose
weight it should be "heel - toe, heel - toe." You'll be exercising more muscles than you realize.
Walking also helps boost your metabolism and in turn contributes to loss. By walking 30
minutes you can burn up to 130 calories. And, you'll keep burning calories for up to 48 hours.
